What is Sparkle? That is the question our company slogan usually evokes. “Give Life Sparkle” is more than simply a catch phrase or slogan; it is a philosophy. It is a way of life we aspire to and hope to embolden our customers to do the same. Sparkle is intangible, it is what you feel when you are getting ready to go out and you know you’re spot on. Sparkle lights up a room, it is contagious and addictive; in a good way! Sparkle is looking good, sparkle is feeling good, sparkle has no gender, race, or age. Sparkle is you being the best version of yourself possible and inspiring others to do the same. Our goal is to provide everyone with quality products and services that we gladly put our name behind. It is our duty to assist everyone in a personalized fashion, so that he or she leaves feeling better than when they came.

 That stated; the Essential Trends team would like to welcome you to the re-launching of our cosmetic store! Commencing with the “Give Life Sparkle” campaign which lasts for the whole month of March! Exciting times are ahead for you Trendsetters so stay tuned!

Meet the Team!!!

There are hundreds of companies in Barbados alone, but any company or organization is only as great as the people who are a part of it. I have the great privilege of introducing you to the Essential Trends Team.

I thought it fitting to start at the top – the person who runs the show.

Mrs. Dolleen Blackett – serves as the Managing Director of Essential Trends. Helping persons enhance the beauty they possess, she brings lots of knowledge and years of experience to the team. Handling the day to day running of the company and nothing gets done unless Mrs. Blackett signs off on it.

This brings us to Dolleen’s right hand, Essential Trends Beauty Director - Ms. Deirdre Blackett.

 Deirdre or Dee as some like call her follows the trends in the beauty industry and keeps the business current and many times even ahead of the game. She helps conceptualize and execute various strategies within the company. Dee is hands down among one of the most creative and passionate persons I know.

No business could stand without an effective sales team – That’s where one of our Sales Associates Ms. Deena Blackett comes in. The way she sells has reminded me that selling is an art. She combines an excellent knowledge of our products with a general customer centric philosophy that ensures superior customer service every time. Our customers love Deena because she makes each one of them feel like the VIP’s they are. She is one of the best Sales persons I’ve ever had the privilege of seeing in action.

There is a lot we couldn’t accomplish without our Sales Associate #2 Mr. Darren Blackett. A true jack of all trades – Darren is without a doubt the most versatile member on our team. From Graphics to sales, he is talented enough to effectively accomplish pretty much any task. He is a much valued asset on our team and works on many of our projects.

I recently joined the team in February and so far the experience has been nothing short of amazing. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to work with such a dynamic team.

I can speak for the Essential Trends Family when I say that - we look forward to serving you in the future.

Feeling your best takes work, my job is to make this a whole lot easier by bringing to you products that I have personally tried and tested and ultimately love. Times have Changed!!!

Oh how times have changed – I remember my primary school teacher telling the class stories of men in history who achieved greatness. They attained victory because of their remarkable character – integrity, hard work, honesty – this was what was needed in those times and was what brought success that inspired change and shaped the future.

Today even more is required in order to establish oneself as a game changer. The gold medal doesn’t simply go to the man with the strongest character; it goes to the man who has carried it even further. Such ones have embraced the modern way of thinking.

What is this way? It is the idea that presentation more than anything else sells the product. Today’s man must strive to look his best whenever he is in public. He should have the three C’s – Charisma, Charm and Confidence.

My personal view is that a combination of both is necessary. So that while your image, your personal presentation, your charisma may land you your dream job; it will be your character that will allow you to keep it or even move on to greater things.

This brings me to the philosophy of Essential Trends -  “Sparkle is looking good, it is feeling good, it is you being the best version of yourself possible and inspiring others to do the same” – this is what we mean when we say ‘Give life Sparkle’.

The goal of the Essential Trend’s monthly Men’s lifestyle article is to provide you with all the information you’ll need to look your best, but more importantly to feel your best.
